FABRICS
Fabrics can look amazing framed and under glass. Some are artworks in their own right, others are memorabilia or hand-made crafts. We frame:
- cross-stitches and tapestries
- t-shirts and sport jerseys
- tea-towels
- antique samplers
- contemporary fabric artworks
- christening gowns
We use conservation techniques which means that everything we do is reversible. So cross-stitches are laced before framing to keep them straight and tensioned. Items of clothing are stitched or pinned onto their backings so they can be removed if wished. We use box frames so that the glass is spaced away from the fabric which prevents the threads from being flattened.
